If you do this then the dish of the wheel will be off and the wheel won't install correctly. Best bet is to grind down the end of the axle slightly so it doesn't protrude past the dropout.

There are a few. NOKON and Aztec Powerlines are 2. I have used both and hated them. Pain in the ass to install/maintain and expensive. They are a few grams lighter but not worth the negatives IMHO.
