I have a good experience with the Jagwire cables (elite link). It had smoother cable pull feel overall compared to the shimano cables it replaced. I would buy the same if ever I need to replace them....

The only time I had a neck pain (nape area) is when I got my CAAD (racing geometry). Prior to that, I was riding a SYNAPSE (more relaxed geometry). Eventually, after a few more rides, it went away.
