My last Bianchi was a Volpe from the same era. That bike was a tank. If the components are fully functional I'd probably leave it "as is" for now. I'm looking for a 2nd road bike for winter riding.

Brakes can be adjusted to fit properly. The 8 speed cassette on the Trek seemed to have enough clearance although the 7 speed derailleur didn't properly line up.
