Hi all,

I continue to pursue a different course that shows the inherent beauty in the Swift design. Today I was able to successfully mount 2.0” x 20” Schwalbe Big Apples on my Swift! I was also able to keep my Planet Bike fenders! All I can say is WOW!!!!! What an amazing combination. If this is not folder bliss for me I don’t know what is. I am now seriously rethinking the need for any front suspension as I won’t need it for 95% of my riding. This hands down is the best folder I have now. It does everything. It is part sports car, SUV, mini-van, GT and even a pickup truck when I go shopping.

These tires were really the last piece that I needed to complete it. I just have a few minor details like maybe a dynamo but for now I like my high intensity LEDs. The wheels though further advances the look that I was going for with the Swift and the ride quality is just amazing now. The efficiency is typical Big Apple but feels even better on the Swift. I will try and post photos later today or tonight. I will be too busy out riding for the next few hours!

Again kudos to Peter on such a wonderful basic bike. It has become a canvas that is subject to my interpretation of how to finish it. If this bike isn't the jack-of-all-trades in the folder realm I don't know what is. You can easily adapt it to anything you want. I seem to have the first retro/old school design though. Now somebody else can copy mine.

I'll probably edit my post later and add a link to the photos when I get back in.

Here is my edit with the photos. In the last photo you will see the top view looking down. Also visible is the wireless cyclometer I went with. It is a YPK and it works quite well. I don't have to scroll through a lot of screens and it has a nice big display. Also visible is my compass/bell and 3watt LED light.
