Bikes: Raptor Bicycles... Fully custom carbon bikes... just the way you want them!

Yes. It's so simple and silly at the same time. Water doesn't effect it. It can withstand temps of over 275-300 degrees, and if you do it correctly, gives a uniform tough finish. The only thing I have to do is remove the crankarms from the rings, mask off the Dura-Ace writing on each arm with perfectly cut electrical tape and then sand/scuff them in a uniform manner so that the "medium" I use soaks into the porous metal(actually the most time consuming part of the process) with a good 400 grit sandpaper. Then I "paint" them (well not really), put a few coats on, air dry, carefully remove the electrical tape then stick the parts in a pre-heated oven and bake at 275 degrees for 4-5 minutes.... WAH-LA. You now have beautiful, OEM looking satin black "Dura-Ace" crank arms!!!! The satin finish will show off the "machining" grains of your sanding, so it's important to know how to sand the metal uniformly.
