Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Clydesdale & Athena "For Trade" thread
Since so many of our needs are specialized in nature, it makes sense for us to have a specific "For Trade" thread. Do not post For Sale in this thread, or it will be deleted and if it happens too often, the thread will go away. All trade details are to be done in PM. Post what you have available here, as well as what you are looking for, in anything in particular.
I know all of you will honor these conditions, though, I just have to post 'em.

I have for trade the following stuff:
Books:
- Weight Training for Cyclists
- How to Mountain Bike Like A Champion by Ned Overend.
- Beginning Cyclist Handbook from Rodale
- Bicycling Magazine's Training Techniques for Cyclists
- Training for Cycling by Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter
- Tour de France Companion by Bob Roll, 2004 edition
- The Immortal Class: Bike Messengers and the Cult of Human Power. Former library book, with plastic dustcover.
Shoes:
- DMT Mag Force, size 47. They comfortably fit my size 12 EEEE feet. The cleats (Shimano Road) are in very good condition. The shoes have less than 100 miles on them.
- Specialized MTB shoes, red and gray, size 47. I've worn these on and off for two years, but they are still in good shape. The shoes have had some alternation to the sole to allow Speedplay Frogs to be installed. No cleats are on the shoes.
Pedals:
- 1 set of cheap plastic platform pedals
- 1 set of Shimano Road pedals, used less than 100 miles.
Pannier:
- Trek grocery bag panniers. Very well-worn but still usuable.
Jersey:
- Long sleeve Performance racing jersey, red and gray, size XL. Even at 240 pounds it was too small for me. I think I've worn it once. No pockets in the back.
Pump:
- Wrench Force frame pump.
Gloves:
- Performance long-fingered winter riding gloves, size L
- Performance neoprene winter riding gloves, size L
***********
I want (from most extravagant to more reasonable):
- recumbent bicycle (it never hurts to ask, does it? )
- large size panniers for touring and commuting
- large size platform or flat pedals for touring
- strong headlight system for night riding
- fork for a BOB trailer
- steel or aluminum fork to replace the carbon fork on my Trek 7.5 fx.
- Power Grips
Please PM me if you are interested in trading for any or all of these things.

- Fat Cyclist in orange and black, size XXL
- Fat Cyclist in pink and black ("Winning for Susan" design), size XXL
both in OK condition. They were too small for me even at 240, and don't fit well on a guy with a long torso.
- one pair arm warmers, yellow, printed with "BCP Scenic Schuylkill Century" on the side.
In addition to my somewhat extravagant list of things I want, if anyone wants to suggest a trade of something else, let me know. I'm new to bikes and still don't know what I need.

For Trade
Have: pair of BN Specialized MTN/Touring shoes size 44 (grey/red)
pair of (used 1x) Specialized Mtn/Touring shoes size 43 (blue and black)
Up front: both pair are sized small. I'm guessing a half size smaller than advertised on both.
WANT Pair of Nike Kato IIIs or IVs in size 11 (prefer black but open to color)in decent shape.

OK, some folks will think this gross, and I'm somewhat leery about it, but here goes....
I have a pair of 2xl shorts I got from the MS City to Shore in 2007. These are shorts, not bibs, and they are race cut. They have "MS City To Shore 2007" printed on the leg. I've worn them twice. They are good shorts, made by Verge, but I'll never wear them again. Anyone want to trade something for them? Or perhaps pay for postage and they are yours.
A pair of inexpensive Nashbar MTB shorts with pockets, black, size 2xl. I wore them about a dozen times before I switched to bibs, and again I'll never go back. Yours for postage. They were snug around my 46 inch waist.

I have a set of Shimano 505 MTB clipless pedals off a stock gary fisher cobia for trade. Never been used, just a little gnarled on the little plastic ring on the left pedal from removal. Looking to trade for a cheap road bike pedal.

Hello Sir,
I would be interested in trading for these shorts as they seem to be just what i am looking for. I do not know what you are in need of but i may just have it...LOL. Please let me know and maybe we can do a deal that benefits both of us. Yours in the Sport

A pair of Time ATAC pedals, lightly used. The cleats have gone AWOL. Yours for shipping, and cleats will run you ~$18 online. The pedals work nicely, are very solidly made, but they took more force to un-clip than my weak right knee can reliably generate.
I'd also trade for a front/rear set of at least half-decent V-brakes, and I'll pay shipping.

Pay it forward - gloves
GONE
I have a pair of Specialized branded gloves that are a bit big for my hands. Have done about 50km of riding and have been washed by hand. Look very new.
Size XL, see two pictures here.
I've got quite square/large hands, but these were a little too big and the design of them - with the very tall edged padding (see lighter grey area on palm) - made them uncomfortable for me to wear as the padding moved out of position for me. A person with a bigger hand - and thus less movement for the padding - would be fine.
Dimensions shown roughly with the ruler. 10cm across?
Pay it forward for cost of postage. I'm in Hong Kong, so perhaps US$3-7 for airmail? I'll let you know before I send.

Specialized Avatar
I have a size 155 Avatar saddle. It came with my new/used sequoia and its in great shape. It only has 200 miles on it.
I am looking for a size 143 Avatar or would be willing to try an equivalent saddle.
