1988 Bianchi Sport SX Single Speed/Fixed Conversion!

Here is my latest project I have been working on, I just got it last week and it was all original and I just finished the conversion today! Here is a before and after shot:

Here is a small list of all the new parts installed:
Mavic CXP22 rims w/formula hubs and DT Swiss spokes
Continental 700x25c tires
New Tektro R200A brake levers
Black bar tape
Brooks B17 leather saddle
Sugino 68x103mm bottom bracket
Sugino Messenger 44t crankset
KMC 1/8" nickel plated chain

One of the cleanest conversions I've seen thus far. I do feel that the white on red looks nicer than black on red, but it still looks great.

Coulda sold the Bianchi in the first pic for $500 and used that money for a track bike.

Why bother? I don't think he's going to be using it for track use. So a road conversion is just fine.

Nah, I bought it on Craigslist on $120. I had no need for a road bike at all so I decided to make the conversion. I am MORE than happy with, it is crazy fast and looks great. I had considered just buying a brand new Pista (which would have cost the same), BUT I feel that I have a bike with better parts on it now than a new Pista plus it was so much fun to build it up!
