I picked up my new Raleigh International
Here are the first pictures of my new 1974 Champagne Raleigh International. I know the quality is not great, but I had to take them in poor lighting conditions. I will post better ones later.

Very nice. The Campy brake calipers are unexpected, but a nice bonus to an already sweet bike.

Beauty! Now, replace the saddle and you're all set! Aren't you happy that you pulled the trigger?

Nice! Looks like a low mileage bike. What sort of speedometer is that.
Putting a Gruber Assist on the International?

I can NOT let this go by without a challenge... It's one thing to call a 1974 bike "new" - but quite another to say the quality is "not great".
I'll have you know that a Raleigh International IS a great quality bike - a "grail" bike for many of us - they just don't get any better than that, so if you still think your "new" ride is "not great", you can just ship it here to Detroit ! ! ! So there!

Absolutely beautiful...I'm jealous. I like having the Weinmanns on mine because it gives me thicker tire ranges and fenders...I guess it depends on what you intend to do with it.

I'm pretty sure he meant his photos, not the bike.

Very nice. It is always funny to see such a horrendous saddle on an otherwise great bike.

Awesome bike. I'd love to have an International. You lucked into a cool bell and the cyclocomputer equivalent of the Eniac too!
Those Campy calipers look great, but are they really an upgrade in function or just in aesthetics? This is a genuine question.

That's a beauty, congratulations! I'd be curious to see detailed shots of the lugwork when you get a chance, just to compare the fit & finish to other Internationals that we've seen. From the photos you've taken, this one looks pretty nicely put together.

I definitely ride my International more than any of my bikes at this point.

Looks great! Appears to a be 22 1/2" frame? Hopefully it fits you. The seller didn't happen to include the original Brooks Pro saddle did he? That is what should go back on there. I'd ditch the computer or whatever that thing is, and the back reflector as well. Probably remove the pedal reflectors also. I don't recall my '73 International having those... well I know it didn't because I am still using the pedals from it.

The saddle indeed got to go. I am not entirely sure yet what else I want to change if any. I definitely want to grease, clean and wax it.
