Best Rim for Fixed Gear

Hi I'm wondering what you guys consider the best rim company for a fixed gear. I'm considering Velocity, Origin 8, Vuelta, or whatever else that you guys might think.

Please help a brother out.

Thanks!

I have a set of these:

https://www.velomine.com/index.php?ma...d7tp8h194shki1

I'm very happy with them, if you don't mind the "classic" look. They're (relatively) light and bulletproof.

Bikes: Schwinn World Sport

whatever rim you end up deciding on, I suggest you buy from velomine.com, they put out good wheels.

for performance, sunrims m13
for style, dp18s or deep Vs
for crapping around, amelias on ebay for $90 get the whole set up with coupon code "rabbit"

DT-Swiss 29er rims. Strong. Wide enough for my Marathon Winters.

Mavic, Sun, Velocity, Weinmann. DT Swiss spokes 14 gauge and some Formula hubs. 36H in 3 cross pattern.

I've had good results from spinlitecycling.com, harriscyclery.net and two local bike shops. That deal from velomine on the the Sun M13 with Formula hubs is not a bad deal. For extra shiny rims, try the Sun CR18.

87% of the all decent fixed gear riders run Velocity Deep V x Formula Sealed Bearing Hubs for it being most practical in price, quality and durability, you know, fyi.

and if price is no problem: used front and rear aerospokes could be had for around $200 a piece = $400 together and you'll have some bomb-proof ass wheels. high five 1st grade Addition O/!

Bikes: R. Sachs Simplicity; EAI Bareknuckle; Madone SLR9 Gen 8

Mavic iO and Comete combo.

But if money is somewhat a problem for you; I love velocity b43's and mavic open pro's...
But then again; I rode my pista concept with my roadie's sram s80 front and it was awesome.

I've been considering those velomine sun wheels also. Will 36 spoke M13's be lighter than 32 spoke Deep V's/DP18's?

Fixed gears will only work with this type of rim.

Or this type...
