Lockblock, bike block, and other random questions
I recently won this helmet and I'm currently using this light. What's the best way to mount to the helmet? I had the light mounted to the bars using hose clamps, but I rarely used it, so I took it off. Rubber bands cause the light to flop around while I'm riding.
Also, I'm thinking about ordering this from Shining Beam- https://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/t...h-C8-II/Detail. I had it bookmarked, since it was a recommendation from this board, yet it has been long enough that possibly there is an updated model out now? Or anything else that is compact, takes either AA or AAA cells, and runs at least 1.5-2 hours on high.

Use a Twofish Lockblock. I used two for my light because of the weight and angle tilt adjustment. If you have problems getting the velcro to work when mounting the block to the vents on the helmet because of orientation, then you can turn them 90 degree and use a zip tie instead of the velcro it into the vent hole like this:

The lockblocks or bikeblocks work fine, I personally use the zefal doodad plus mount.. It comes with rubber mount and velcro and works great as a helmet mount for flashlight.. Easily found on amazon..
