If you bring a baseball bat with you, you can disperse damage equalibrium across enemy car.
In all seriousness, you're lucky to walk away from it. Go to your hospital's non-emergency and have them check out your arm.

Hoping for the best in that the wounds are not too bad, and if they are, may they heal quickly.

Day, dry, clear... W/riding d/hill, passing all the stuck traffic when the driver decided to do a Taco Bell run. I saw him signal, then he just turned. I had no time to stop.

Down Arrow shows where I landed.

Passing on the right of stuck traffic, downhill, with driveways. My Defcon level would be on number 1.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you recover quickly. Too many drivers just don't pay attention to you if you're only on two wheels the way they would if you were on four.

I think that in some ways bike lanes make you more invisible. The driver doesn't have to think of you.
K'Tesh, glad you survived.

Riding too far to the right, if there's a bike lane or not, has the same effect. Bike lanes, from my experience, seems to make motorists pass closer with more confidence.

Anyway, glad you survived, any landing you can walk away from is a good one...
