Fuji Track Pro headset size.
I just picked up a fuji frame off of the big nashbar sale, and was planning on removing my integrated headset from my current brandless frame. However... i cant get it out using the screwdriver/hammer method, and it appears as if it wouldn't fit the FTP anyways. SO. Can anyone link me to a headset that would fit the FTP? Also-- would i need any special tools?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Your cog is slipping.
First of all, you wouldn't need a "screwdriver and hammer" to remove an integrated headset, as there are no cups and the bearings sit directly in angular contacts inside the head tube.

wait... so i was just kind of told by someone that my headset was integrated. A little research showed it was threadless. Im using an IRD techno-glide headset. Every other threadless headset Ive had just comes off. How-come this headset is attached to the headtube? Sorry... I've kinda only dealt with threaded and "simple" threadless headsets in the past.

A Techno Glide is a standard 1 1/8" threadless headset with cups that get inserted into the frame and bearings that sit inside the cups. Integrated headsets - while still typically 1 1/8" - have no cups. You'll need to buy an integrated headset for your Fuji.

Cool. Thank you.
Now question #2! Integrated headsets come in different sizes, so how can I figure out what size the fuji needs. I don't see a listing for specs anywhere on the site.

The shop where I work is a Fuji dealer. If someone doesn't chime in, I'll try to find out which headset you'll need on Monday.

I went to my LBS and had them order one from the catalog... It took the dude about half an hour of searching before he found one that he thought would work. I didn't write down the specific model, but i know it was a cane creek tall stack one like this.

I spoke with two people at ASI (Fuji) yesterday and all I got was a series of roundabout answers. I hope you got the right type!

Cane Creek IS41 should do it. I installed mine and it looks tight and smooth... though i still need to PVC pipe my crown race onto my fork.

confirmed the Italian standard with Cane Creek headset finder. Models that would work from cane creek are their 40 series. The 40.IS42 short or tall depending on preferred stack
