Smaller battery ideas for Princeton Tec Switchback?
Just wondering if anyone can help or point me in the right direction for using a smaller form-factor battery with a Princeton Tec Switchback 3. I'm happy with the light output (although have found threads for upgrading that
). But the battery is so large that it's tough to find a convenient place to strap it to the bike's frame. For my road bike, it has to go on top of the top tube but then my knees hit when I'm out of the saddle (never knew that my knees crossed the top tube until then). The battery/light is advertised to have a 6 hour run-time on high beam which is way more than I need for commutes and mountain biking.
I'm new to trying to set up batteries or lights like this, but have OK soldering skills from working on electric guitars.
Question one is type of battery. I can't find any technical data on the output of the current battery or, similarly, what the light head wants to see and therefore what type of replacement battery.
Question two has to do with the connectors for the battery & light (see pictures below). The battery has six pin-holes. Top three are used when connected to the light head. The bottom three are used when connected to the charger.
Thanks in advance for any help.
