Back to the city... there will be a bit of a climb after the bridge.

Snapped back to reality... ugh.



And after a few miles of that I am back in quiet little neighbourhood...



I love this season.

And a few shots of my bike that does it all so well.

good to see you're back online without causing malware warnings. I'll bite, what is that bike?

Looks like things are cleaned up for the most part... get the odd caching error but Google has not finished their re-certification yet.

Bike is a 1990 Moulden (local builder) that was built about a mile from where I took this picture... he has retired but the shop he founded is still in business.

Seeing some of the new offerings I think he was a little ahead of his time... although the drop bars were my idea.

Malware? I used a combination of Avast, Avira Antivir, AVG and Spybot Search & Destroy once to destroy a trojan horse. That came after searching for top swing/ low swing front derailleurs and was something like socalriders.org. It took all 4 one at a time to delete every trace.

By the way, what is the wheel size? If it's 26 inch wheels, do you prefer that to 700c?

What kind of tires are those?

Those tyres are Schwalbe Hurricanes which are 26 by 2.0 and this pair has seen over 10,000 of mixed use riding and they show no sign of stopping and still look just about as good as new.

They are like a cross tyre for your mtb and do come in a 622 sizing... best suited for hard pack and as such work rather well on the street and roll out extremely well with just a little hum at high speeds.

For sure... probably be spring before you are mended enough to tackle the trails and can always lend you the Blizzard... could swap in a shorter stem as I know you have a slightly shorter reach than I do even though we are the same height.

There are some amazing trails in this city and I miss riding them as much as I used to and do not ride them as hard or fast... is kind of nice to enjoy the scenery rather than have everything be a blur.

This little bit of heaven sits in the middle of our sprawling urban jungle and our river valley park system is the largest in North America... if you were to ride it end to end it would take about 6 hours and you still would not be able to explore much of it. It is a nice blend of multi use, paved trails, and unimproved trails and single track.

It makes you forget you are surrounded by a million people.

Have been pretty pleased with these tyres... have had more flats with Marathons and these travel in many of the same places and are among some of the longest serving tyres I have.
