Do-Overs, let's see your re-paints and re-coats....
A growing number of us have gone ahead and had framed powder-coated or painted.
Not always in OEM, but some are close, some are correct for the marque, the frame, the spirit, etc, some are just plain re-do's that look amazing....
It may be a trend, it may just be there are some frames you just can't bring back.
If you've got a bike wearing new clothes, let's see it....
EDIT: If you can, let us know where the decals came from.

BEFORE:
AFTER: Paint by "Porkchop" and decals by JR Restore, now VeloCals.
And 3 more are coming.....I just ordered 3 sets of decals from JR, one a new custom reproduction of a Centurion Turbo. He shipped them today, which will be about a 2-week turnaround.

Here is my repainted Gazelle Champion Mondial 1974 track bike. Since i have a crush for dutch racing bikes, i had to buy/save it from a friend of mine, who used it as his "everyday" fixed gear bike. The frame was already repainted in blue, but it was done badly and the frame had no decals anymore. I also had to bring the frame to a frame builder, because the left seat stay wasn't straight anymore (because back then, the friend of mine weighted more then 125 kg).
I tried hard to match the original DAF mid seventies color (i only had pictures and old advertisments) and in my opinion, this went well, but it also wasn't cheap (if you compare with powder coating). All together, it took me 2 years to complete the whole bike. The bike has a different handlebar/stem combo now, but this are the better pictures:
If you click on the pics, you can see the whole album/more details

Not done by me - assume it was repainted (poorly) after braze-ons were added.

YOWZA. That's a great looking repaint. I absolutely love the frame color, along with the gold rims and gumwalls. Unbelievably purty.

1967 Paramount - decidedly not a Schwinn-Approved color, decidedly not period-correct.
1978 Eisentraut "A" - in the process of getting built up, so there should be more photos soon.

1973 Super Mistral Fastback with Rustoleum two tone + clear, ultrafine paint pen lined lugs, and decals by JRRestore

Disraeli Gears
I tend to be attracted to frames that need a paint job. None of these are built up yet. All are wet paint, automotive polyurethane, by the same shop. Links to more photos and some back-story on Flickr.
Bob Jackson, destined to be my #1 road bike rider; took so long to get it painted that I thought I was in a hostage scenario. The promise/excuse cycle was endless, and the cherry on the sundae was that, having gotten everything ready for decals, these were "lost" -- for long enough that the recoat time lapsed, so all paint was removed again. Decals found (where they should have been, but envelope turned so that nobody recognized it for what it was), job finally proceeded. Then shop asked to photograph the result, which I agreed to, not realizing that this would involve even more delay. I'm more than happy with the product, but leery of having another bike painted anytime soon!
Late 70s Mondia cyclocross frame, which I bought already blasted; done earlier (and much faster) by the same shop. In a lapse, showing environmental hypocrisy, I had the dropouts and fork crown chromed.
Specialized Expedition frame bought in disrespected rattlecanned state. Decided to go with a white pearl rather than replicating the original metallic gray. I've striped the lugs in silver now, and am working on "custom" graphics to complete it.

My 1988 Fuji Opus IV, repainted by a gentleman in the Boston area, NOS, original Fuji decals sourced from an ex-Fuji dealer here in St. Paul.
Full Dura-Ace 7700 9 speed (downtube baby!) including hubs, except for headset (I didn't have the stack height). Dura-Ace 7400 stem and seatpost. Saavedra Turbo Aerodinamic rims, Continental Competition tubular tires. Rolls DUE saddle.
As posted on CL, frameset facilitated by PDXAero (yes, it was a fixie and mercifully not drewed):

Here's my 1971 Atala Competizione repaint. Dupli-Color rattlecans in metallic blue and cream, with gold Sharpie paint pen lug lining per the C&V recommendation. Home made color laser waterslide decals based off 1971 Atala catalogue logotype.
Suntour friction shifting an 8-speed SRAM cassette never misses a beat. Tiagra hubs laced to CR-18s with DT spokes. Be sure to repack them with grade 25 bearings before first use; they're smooth now but I think Shimano uses sand instead of grease. I'd love to upgrade the castrated Shimano triple to a proper Stronglight or TA 50.4 BCD double.
Here are some nasty fluorescent-lit pictures with it looking just how it brings me home from work every day:

Not sure about my second and one that fits me Legnano Gran Premio. Should I paint the bike just because of the horrible top tube???

Just curious, how is the Dupli-Color holding up under the clamp on things, FD, shifters, bottle cage and the like?
One other thing, how's the shifting with the relatively close spacing of the 8 speed cogs? Does it take a while to "feel out" the shifting?

After powder coat "UMass Maroon" (my wife's alma mater) with a very light gold metal flake:
I am very impressed with the quality of the powder coater's work. Very thin coat so all the detail around the lugs are intact. It helps that he is an avid cyclist. Decals by our own JRrestore.
