big shot bikes, yes or no?

been seeing that big shot bikes have gotten sort of a reputation from people here on the forum, but they've now upgraded their frames to chromoly frames; full specs here: https://www.bigshotbikes.com/track-bikes.html -- recommendations/reviews/comments on these bikes?

Why do you want to go through Big Shot? If its mainly because of the color choices, then go for it. If you care about quality and value, shop around a little longer. There are plenty of nice bikes to be had for cheaper.

was just browsing and just caught my eye. live in toronto, need it to be shipped actually, so i'm leaning towards the 'no' side. any other suggestions on bikes i can actually buy here? nothing like the ones on big shot bikes here in toronto for <$600.

yep definitely missed that part. but hypothetically speaking i guess then, it would still be a bad decision even if they did have shipping to canada. any alternative you guys can suggest?

btw the special edition ones only apply to the ACTUAL SPECIAL EDITIONS, the ones that are 500+. i'm just looking at the normal ones @ $429. i posted the link for the 'new' specs at the bottom, please review?

I feel like their bikes would be a lot more attractive if they set them up with more than a fistful of seatpost and a decent saddle angle. But that's just me.

Aren't the 'Special Edition' bikes the only ones made of cro-mo? For $429 + $125 shipping, you're better off just going to a shop and buying a bike.

For a small company shipping a complete bike to Canada, it's not 100% unreasonable - but still...

Oh god no! What's the Budget? If it's tight, get a Kilo, something else from Bikesdirect, or even eightinch or Pake'...or really most things over bigshot, I hear nothing but bad things about them, really, especially for the price.

Bikes: good ones.

https://www.sweetpetes.com/product-li...er-bikes-pg56/

https://bikedepot.com/product-list/bi...ne-speed-1018/

These are all bike shops in Toronto.

Buy local and forget about shipping. You'll also more than likely get a proper fitting and adjustment by the employees. Happy holiday shopping.
