If my wife comes, we'll do the 48. If I'm alone, I'll do the 100. I did the fall ride and loved the trail.

I thought the chances would be slim. Usually when Spring Hill is mentioned the response is "where's that" lol. BTW, registered this afternoon for the 48 mile ride.

If any BF folks want to meet up at the ride, I'll be wearing this jersey. No, that's not me in the jersey. And the leg tattoos are also easy to spot.

To assure that everyone will be able to ride, we'll register on the morning of the ride. if we preregister, that guarantees a day of cold rain.

I pre-registered last year and it was a gorgeous day, just a foggy start.

We signed up and 2 of our friends are also joining us for the weekend up there. Heard great things about the ride and the trail while on a ride in Tampa 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to it. Andy

Looks like I'll be there, after my fall I wasn't sure, but I'm now riding just fine.
Just signed up for the 48 miles, hope I can make it, the furthest I have rode so far is 30 miles.

My son called yesterday. He said he sold his bike 3 weeks ago and is looking for a new one so he won't be riding with me. Looks like I'll be doing the 48 mile option. See y'all tomorrow morning.

Great riding, great event, many thanks to all of the organizers and volunteers. 4 of us rode, all PR's! My wife did 50, I did 60, my riding buddy got his 1st Century and his wife got 37. What a nice place to ride. I'm setting my sights on my 1st Century there next year! Thanks again to all involved! Andy

There is another Withlacoochee ride in October, sponsored by Rails to Trails.

We had a great time but could have done without the afternoon rain.

I'm back in Atlanta.
I did the 48 mile option. Rode from the apt in Hernando to the trailhead and down to the start at Inverness. I got to the start a little late (~8:45) so many of the riders had already left. Rode like crazy to try and catch up. There was a good crowd at the Ridge Manor rest stop. Good food too.
It seemed to me that there weren't as many riders as last year.
I rode over the bridge/overpass and thought about riding to the south end but the clouds helped change my mind. I headed back toward Inverness. Stopped in Floral City for water. When I was about a 1/2 mile north of Floral City it started sprinkling. I started "sprinting". My right cleat somehow came loose and my foot slipped off the pedal. The bike veered to the right and into the leaves. The leaves were just slick enough that I skidded and lost it. I hit the ground on my left side. I managed to get up and back on the trail and slowly started riding. When I hit the ground my right brifter got pushed sideways toward the stem, about 30 degrees.
I "limped" the rest of the way to Inverness, then Hernando, and finally to the apt. It started raining kinda hard when I was about 2 miles south of Hernando.
After I find my camera (we're still unpacking) I'm post my ride pics, the good and the bad.

I made it for 48, my longest ride to date. Got an early start, so I made it back just before the rain. I also thought the turnout was low, same with the Oct ride last year compared to the previous year I was told. Lots of friendly riders, chatted with quite a few of them at the SAG stops. Last Oct I only rode 14 and it was hard, so I'm happy I made it for 48 this year, but I sure was happy to see the finish line. The low temps made the riding real nice.

As promised, here are a few pics from the ride.

And here's the rest stop at Ridge Manor. Great food.
Not sure why this guy decided to stand right in front of me as I took the picture.

If you see a bike you like better than your current bike, help yourself.

Never saw a tandem trike. How do you get it in the back of the car? Or how big is the bike rack?

I'm not sure why I took this picture of the I-75 overpass.

Here's a picture of my handlebar after the big crash. Scary!!

Don't know how I missed this thread.

I was their and had a great time except for the rain. We had plans to ride to Ridge Manor then back to Inverness for lunch then ride north until we got tired then back to Inverness. I was with 3 of my local riding friends from Orlando. One had a flat as soon as he took his bike out of the car so that delayed our start then his wife had a flat about 3 miles south of Floral City as we were coming back. I stopped with her and replaced the tube with her spare and put my CO2 to it, and it went flat before I got the tire back on the bike. Put my tube in and applied CO2 and that tube went flat. By that time her husband realized that she was not behind him so he turned around and came back. I put his tube in and only inflated the tire enough to get he back to Inverness. When we got to Floral City they wanted to inflate the tire to max pressure at the bike shop. When Regis put the air hose to it that tube went flat. Regis replaced the rim strip and put in tube number 4 and we made it back to Inverness shortly after it started to rain. Still enjoyed the ride even if we only got in 48 miles.
