Bikes: 2013 Trek 7.2 FX Disc

Suggestions on potential upgrades 2012 Trek 7.2FX Disc

After months of lurking here and taking traffic skills classes I finally purchased my first bike. I went with the 22.5" 2012 Trek 7.2FX with Disc Brakes.

I mainly will be doing commuting with the bike to and from school. And to random places across NYC. At LBS i purchased a rack, fenders, bell, and a kickstand. From amazon i already purchased some lights and bungee cords. I haven't had issues yet with the stock saddle. Any upgrades or suggestions from your experience that I should add? Thanks for any help.

Just ride it for a while. Upgrades have a way of suggesting themselves. When you say to yourself "I wish ..." then go find it.

Nice bike, it looks like you've all bought you need for it's intended use. Bills advice is right for any newbie though you can think about adjusting things for comfort while riding. Little things like seat height stem height the angle of the bars and levers. Things you need to spend money on for upgrades just come to you like a epiphany.
You never know you might end up like me owning 20+ bikes, one for every type of riding imaginable and having to upgrade every component on the frame. Welcome to bicycle madness

Thanks guys. I will take the advice to heart. Over the past few days. Commuting to work is pretty great. This will last a lifetime.
