Porsche Cayman - Can you get a folder in?

Changing my car. Shortlist includes a Cayman. Can a folder be inserted into either the front or rear 'trunk'? (It's mid engined.) I've got a Mezzo 16" and a Dahon 20". One will go on Fleabay, if the other fits.

What you have to do is get your friendly local Porsche dealer to let you bring your nasty, dirty, sharp edged, bikes along and try them in one of his show room prepared jalopies.

I've actually hired one for a day. It will be returned full of mud, dead Dahon tyres, and pie wrappers. There's a bod on one of the other fora gets his road bike in the back with the wheel in the front. But, ya know, that's a faff.

Thanks Thor, I've got one on hire for the day tomorrow. The car, not the bikes. You get any freebies where you give away a Cayman with every new bike, you let me know first, 'K?

Somebody posted here about a year ago (?) a picture of a folder in a Boxter trunk. You may find it. The new Cayman (981) have a raised rear and thus possibly more trunk space. If you want more space take a look at the TT, it fits even a TSR splitter with no problem.

Edit: actually it was a full size splitter that was stored in the trunk and frunk. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...1#post11631719

Of course if you have thge dimendsion data for the cargo area then that helps

buying a Porsche SUV, you must have minions, have your people go to the dealer and Measure ..

paying Cash Or incurring a Big Car Loan?

No such thing as a Porsche SUV... although there is a craptastic joke still being sold under the Porsche name known as the Cayenne.

The Cayman is a true Porsche.

**UPDATE**
Ooops, snafu21 beat me to it... with a better Cayenne link that I could have hoped to post.

You just left that open for Brompton-bashers.

Or, a bigger Car? Those Who Know these Things, say it will 'probably' fit in the front luggage area. More tomorrow.

Here's a couple of pictures of a 2012 Brompton H6L in a 2006 Boxster. We later tried a 2013 P6R, and it fit, too.

A mezzo will fit nicely on the passenger seat of a Caterham 7 clone, seat belt in place to prevent it leaving the car prematurely of course. You could keep with the tradition of owning John Whyte designed machinery and buy a Benaton F1, the engine is in the back but I dont know where you would put the folder.

I was happy enough when I was able to (barely) afford a 68 SAAB 96..
putt up the hill in power mode, like a roller coaster, then at the crest of the Hill
take my foot off the gas drop to an Idle, coast down the other side, until the momentum went down,
then bring the engine RPM up to the speed I was going, again.

Taunus V4 morors in those , single barrel Carburator, 30 mpg over the road EZ.

Rain Gutter fitted racks the rearmost cross bar on the hatch back boot lid , worked fine..

Moved House with my 5 bikes on it.. & Duffle bags of stuff..

Hardly a Plutocratic Republican , though they did send me to fight their wars in 66,7,8,9
so their children could stay home and go to Yale and Harvard.

I loved the V4s but could also appreciate the alternative 3 cylinder 2-stroke corn-popper motor which was a hoot to drive.

My older brother had a blue one. IIRC it was very different, 3 gears, you had to mix oil with the gas and it had a switchable semi automatic mode with ratchet and no need to clutch. The body was very strong, hard to drill (he added an antenna). It served him well.
