Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's the Problem with BikesDirect?

Bikesdirect seems like a good place to save lots of money. The only drawbacks I can think of are that you must know how to assemble/dissasemble your bike and you must know your fit.

To the OP, please do a search. Many people start this forum asking the same exact question you do. Because of this, some forum members think bikesdirect is in a constant conspiracy which involved posts from new members asking about bikesdirect (AKA shill). I am sure that bikesdirect just loves all the hate it gets from these threads and you are one of the conspiracy members.

Let us know if we need to ramp up the elitism chaos boy, we're just getting warmed up. Think of your early BF experiences like stumbling onto an ugly Road Nazi bonfire deep in the woods.

Cling to your guns instead, please. Leave the elitism to those who know how to rock it.

Pcad simultaneously loathes Bikes Direct*, yet he has placed an order for a Fly Ti MTB through them and is often accused of being a BD Shill.

It's complex.

* Don't take that personally Mike, it's all part of Race Season Universal Loathing.

It is common practice (and common courtesy) in forums such as this to do a search for a topic you're interested in before posting on it. You have asked a question that has been discussed many, many, many times and therefore all the responses you'll get reflect that. Seriously - take a look through the search function, you'll probably find out more than you ever wanted to know.
