Click noise from my left crank/pedal/bb?

I just finished building my bike, so all the parts (except for the frame) are new. Starting the first time I was on the bike, the left crank clicks. It clicks once when I start to pedal hard and then makes no noise at all until I backpedal to slow down, then it clicks again. I can't figure out what it is. It only happens on the left side and it is an italian threaded bottom bracket.

Things I've considered or tried to fix the problem: (i read a bunch of threads on here and got these ideas)
-I tightened the pedal and crank bolts. No change
-I read this (https://www.sheldonbrown.com/creaks.html), but nothing really sounds like the same problem I am having
- I don't think it's the bearings as many threads suggested since this is all brand new stuff.

Any ideas??? Thanks!

Good call - I should have thought of that forum first. They helped me fix the problem with my headset when I was building the bike. I'll go repost over there.

Thanks!

---- EDIT ----
Here's the thread in the mechanic forum for anyone that has input or finds this in a future search

I had the same problem on my full suspension DH bike. Heavy pedaling made a clicking sound that seems to come from the crank arm, except I was getting it from both arms. I took it to shops and they said of could be one of many things, I tried tightening the pedals, cranks, BB, suspension linkage bearing nuts. And finally I had the idea of trying to regrease the threads of my pedals, so I took them off, applied a load of dura-ace grease and put them back on. Voilą!!!! Annoying clicking stopped!
