What Frame is this - Colnago Fake?
Hi,
I've recently retrieved my old bike, I had always assumed it was a entry level colnago frame however looking at it now I'm not so sure as it seems all colnagos should have club shaped cut-outs?

Also on the off chance someone has a replacement I'm missing the hanger/pivot bolt on my victory rear mech:

Not a fake. As late as the late '90s the brand had a lesser model or two. I saw one just a few years ago in a store, passed on it. Not because it wasn't good, it was big for me anyway more so than being not the best model. May've be an "International" ?
The Super model has come and gone a few times over the years, occupying a different place in the line-up each time. Yet again the model's being re-intrioduced.
Bolts etc. , the tube ID.. all that's very standard from '80s till mid-90s and beyond.
It would've helped to note the tubing.

the lugs and the fork are very un-Colnago, as are the lug cutouts and the three rather than two cable guides on the top tube and the very concave seat stay caps.
OTOH, the BB cutouts and the chain stay bridge are very typical of their lower end bikes, like my saronni and their International. I'd wager that it's not a Super, and is unlikely to be a Colnago of any kind... I'd agree that the bolts and tube ID may be fairly standard, but they're fairly common on most Italian bikes of the late 80s.

I've seen those seat-stay caps on Colnagos. Maybe this is the model that Sheldon rags on?

One fellow doubts that the bike is a Colnago at all, I can appreciate that but I did SEE a cheapo. The most skeptical view would be that of believing that this bike was counterfitted.
I don't think so, for a number of reasons which I'll let others ponder.
The FACT of the matter is that Colnago has sourced bikes for some 30 years. That is to say that not every single bike is/was made at the main factory. a bike to BE one need not have all the virtues of a Master or Maste Light or Conic etc.
Colnago's a big Co. being capable of doing anything as likely as an individual.
