For You Carbon Fetishists
I'm not that big a fan of carbon as a frame material in general nor am I a fan of Giant in particular, but found this interesting:

****, I hear my wallet calling. And I thought the aluminum TCR Track was cool. You know when Giant throws down carbon, it's gonna be sweet...

Super sexy. Seatpost seems to be integrated into the frame. Gotta love those. At leat I wouldn't have to lend it to people: "sorry, your legs won't reach the pedals".
BTW, 6,8 kg limitseems to be silly for trackracing. This beast could easily be under 6,8

"Yea... sorry short person. I'd let you ride it but that just won't be possible. It's out of my hands."

Edit: just looked at the Yama link in your signature. Looks way cool. It does have a seatpost of sorts, doesn't it? Tube goes up an then has a regular clamp, into which you insert a super-short seatpost, right?

I kind of dig the Look 496 Athènes - it seems like every team (except for the Malaysian team, I think) had one at the Worlds in LA. I would link to their page on the frame, but their stupid site frames (html, not bike) prevent me from doing so.

I honestly think that is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. I could stare at it for hours

2. The greater stiffness improves out-of-saddle acceleration a tiny bit, so why not put the weight where it helps a bit?
They will still go a long way to shave off a few grams from the wheels which can go over into a stiffer frame, crank or bars, because lighter wheels accelerate better. It's like Formula 1: they build a 540 kg car, then put 60 kilos back in where it hurts the least: the bottom of the car so it rolls less in corners.
