good to hear since I just won some on the e-bay. Now to to try and trade my syntace bullhorns for some track bars just in case i can coordinate a trip to the nearest track about 120 miles away.

Damn it, why do you have to rub it in? I've been waiting to get some, seems like they'd be waaaaay better than flip n clip road bars that I've been riding...

I've got some that are basically brand new w/Cinelli cork tape that I'll get rid of for cheap.

PM me if interested.

Why do you have a "no brakes" sticker and a brake?

It's a factory decal under the clearcoat.

Dude, that photo you took of the bars is friggen beautiful!

The side lighting showing the nuances of the bar's swoops and bends, whilst still capturing the bright starburst shining off of the chrome bar plug on the upper right.

no, but please- tell me how i'm the antichrist for cutting a mass produced track bar because bullhorns arn't made with a curve on the back. go on, tell me, you'll change my mind i know it.

and actually those bars arn't the exact ones, the ones i had were the full curve.

Veloshop in downtown Portland stocks them for a reasonable price.

Take it easy there ace, I'm not one to get in a tizzy over what you do with your parts. I just saw a picture for heat treated $100 bars and wondered if you really chopped those or something that looked like them. Different strokes for different folks.

On the off chance that you haven't seen this...

Finishing was really easy once I saw how to properly finish a taping job and tried it a couple times.

I really don't like the RB-021. The drop is too severe and is right in the middle of the flats. It makes riding on the tops uncomfortable. I also made the mistake of wrapping them with Cinelli cork wrap which doesn't have any glue on it. After an hour or two of riding I managed to push the tape off the bends where the bars drop down.

It's not so bad that I'm going to get rid of them, I just think they are way overrated.

Well I love 'em. Been riding them for over a year now. I do agree that if the tape is not glued, it will slip over time. But I love the positions, especially when climbing.
