Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

FYI: I was able to get rid of the lines by changing the View-Style setting of my browser (I'm using Opera version 7.54u2) to "User mode". Makes the avatar go away too!

yep - and if you're using firefox, click on view/page style/no style.

the strike though seems to be coming from the stylesheet the board uses, so if you can go around that stylesheet you'll be better off - for today at least.

I'm using Firefox and I don't see any "page style" under "View".

It's also lame and trite and shows the mods have little ingenuity.

I don't even notice the lines. I find it pretty funny people can't tolerate it. Must be all the coding I do, but they just don't even seem there.

I had vision problems long before I got my first pc. I was wearing glasses at 5 and didn't own my first apple till I was 6.5 ...(ok my parents owned them)...I have steadily been getting worse ever since.

Yikes!

I'm actually out of work (have been since 12/03) because of eye problems, so . . . I see you (barely) and raise you

(non-contributory in ramming my Moots into a Toyota pickups door, btw).

Take care of your eyes. Here's a *real* link, then. It's all the obvious stuff, but for PC workers, it's good to hear it again.

It's like the two lines caused by the suspension wires for the aperture grille on my Trinitron monitors... I don't notice them after a while.
