shimming stem from 25.4 mm to 26.0 mm?

hi all, i'm currently running drops but would like to switch to a riser or flat bar. but i cant seem to find any flat bars that come in 26.0...all are either 25.4 or 31.6. is it possible to shim the difference with good results (ie. no slippage)? and where does one get such a shim?

thanks in advance
