New internal gear track frame project

I just ordered this steel track/ss frame:

Using these bars and levers - and internal hub

I don't know if the levers will work with the brake levers or if I'll need caliphers front and back. I'm also considering a drum brake/generator front hub.

I picked up the yellow GP 4000 700x25c tires from bonktown.com.

So What does it ride like?

You know what we are waiting for- but I reckon it will be good.

That is much more practical than a fixed gear. (If you ever want to try fixed, maybe the new version of the old Sturmey-Archer 3-speed fixed gear hub will be out by then.)

Like a dream! Wait! that was a dream.

The problem now is getting the wheels built, and the right BB, and caliper brakes, etc. The decals are supposed to come off - so basic black frame. I'm considering either a Sun M13II box polished silver rim or a semi-aero black rim with machined sides.

Leave part of the decals on- Leave something like "CAT TE". then it will be like my dream Hardtail frame. Never ridden one but I know it is good. Made by Roberts- one of the best custom builders in the UK and it is called the "DGS BLX"

I've been riding my Cannondale Capo with a SRAM T3 hub for the last two years. Wonderful machine.

I'm not a particular fan of coaster brakes, but they're okay if you also have a front caliper brake.

Enjoy your bike,
