windsor "the hour" fg on ebay

so i saw these bikes on ebay. 2006 windsor "the hour". full bike for $299. anybody have one or know anything about em? seems like a deal. maybe not the best bike around, but still sounds like a killer deal. $40 shipping. shoot, you can barely buy a few parts for $299.

When I searched "Windsor Hour" I found 38 posts, after glancing at the titles I see 3-4 that would be directly benificial to you.

I think that the consensus on this bike is that its worth the money. Its been suggested to buy the bike, flip the parts and you basically have a IRO frame (minus the customer service).

anyways, the word is that they suck ass, but they'll get you through the winter.
you'll want to change out ever part after a month or two.
you get what you pay for.
might as well save up for something dece and of quality which will serve you much better than the windsor
btw, sorry for the harsh reply, don't take it personally. just kinda annoying when there's hundreds of the same threads asking the same thing.

A cheap bike is a great way to test the waters. I did so with a Giant, and when I'm really sure I want to continue, I have a very good idea of what I like and what I don't, so my 'real' bike will be exactly what I want.

Woah now wait here schnee. You have a $500 bike, no idea how to adjust your chain tension or take your wheels on and off, and you're dispensing advice to other noobs? Not trying to be mean here, but get real.

these are ads, guys. breathe. it's just the windsor guys getting free promotion out of googles for track/fixed gear. check it for yourself. the more you post on this shyte, the more it gets promoted, and the more they post.

you are so close to the source, check the search button yourselves. all newly registered nobodies who never post again. ding ding?

Bikes: Giant OCR1(specialized carbon seatpost,Terry Fly sadle, Syntace C2): Leader TT frame, Easton EC70fork, Aerolite bars, nashbar bullhorn, Titan Wheels: Fuji Track Pro(2003)

they arent ads, they arent gorilla marketing.

If they wanted to do that, they would come in saying how great they are and have pictures etc...It is just people trying to get into it who want to get a good bike and cant afford eBay prices for anything that has Track in its listing.

After getting abused by all the holier than thous on their first post, do you think many of them are going to stay around?

Has anyone ever paid $795 for a windsor hour? It seems like it and the mercier tt are intended to be undersold.
A $795 value for not $600, not $500, not even $400! You can have it all for just $300, but act fast!
