Back to riding a semi-modern bike. I know that it’s not Hot, but I’m posting it here so that I can take my beating like a man.
nothing to see here

Thanks for the insight, and pointing out my laziness of actually figuring it all out.

Nothing like having to eat your own words, not to mention the embarrassment of quoting myself. Some digging around showed there is around 30mm of adjustment in stem height. 3 - 5mm spacers, and a 15mm spaced cap. Included with the bike is a 0mm cap. So I removed the 3 spacers and it looks much better. Will keep dropping it incrementally until I find the right balance of height and comfort.
Thanks for the insight, and pointing out my laziness of actually figuring it all out.

Maybe you are new here, but typically newbs post a photo of the bike they just purchased, and then get butthurt when others don’t congratulate them on their purchase.
I’m not sure if you’ll fit in here.

Better?
I posted my pic to create some discussion, and maybe learn a little something along the way too. I appreciate all the comments.

Thanks. It's a Serfas Thunderbolt. Been good to me. It's pretty bright and has held up great in bad conditions. Easy on/off and USB chargeable so it works for me.

Thanks. I knew I should have removed the bottle and the light but posted anyway. I think the levers would look better if I weren't so damn short. On a 48 frame everything looks big. I'd love to rotate them down a little and "slam" the stem but it fits me like it is pretty well so I haven't changed it... yet.

It should have Look or Time (ie french) clipless pedals at the very least!

Yup, and I would have to drop the 10sp wheels with Ambrosio (Novatec) hubs and Campagnolo cassette, the 10sp chain plus the Dia-Compe brakelevers. Not to mention the nos Selle Italia Turbo saddle. Heck, even the tubular tires will have to go because Dugast is made in The Netherlands these days. But I don't mind scoring a "not" with my everyday bike

Altamira 1.0
Recently built, fits perfect vs. previous frame that was a tad too long.

As far as the bike, I like it, but I think it would look better if the bike was more perpendicular to the sun or another light source so you have even exposure on both the wheels. That way one doesn't look more grey than the other.

Not. One point deducted for each spoke.
