My favorite of the day. Scott on the ground. Mrs. Psimet - RN assessing him. Me with my hands in my pockets saying helpful stuff like, "can you breathe? Does it hurt when you laugh? FWIW - he hit that light pole to the left of the picture. I was where Wilke was when he took the shot and looked up and saw a Yellow Cannondale flipping head high sans rider. I was running before I could get out "that's Scott".

nothing like realizing a friend/teammate is involved in a crash by spotting their bike in the air before you spot them.

Good weather last weekend is what it sounded like, hopefully that holds true for this one as well.

Indeed. I have this crazy instinct for it too. I always seem to be moving and reacting before it even dawns on me what's really happening.

Let's face it - I have no talent on the bike, but I can wrench, organize, run stuff, read tactics, the field and courses like crazy - I should stay on the sidelines.

In my case I am referring to it as "temporary mediocrity". At least that gives positive options for the future.

I feel the same way. I'm a pretty solid wrench and a pretty good DS, but the bike stuff, not so much. When I travel with the team I actually enjoy getting everyone where they need to be, making sure everyone's bikes are good, calling out tactics and splits, etc, more than I enjoy the actual racing (since it doesn't last very long).

I'm the same, Flatballer.

I actually got a kick out of driving the follow-car for the team during training camp.

(why was I in the car? Long story. PM me if you're really curious)

Sprint from last weekend Tour de Dung #1. I'm in the yellow kit in the center of the pictures.

It was a Cat 5 race . . .

Other people are taking up the left lane as well, so I'm pretty sure they were aware of the open 200m finish.

I'm the guy on the front. Yeah, I know, attack when on the front, and it crossed my mind, but we were about 200 meters from the feed zone and I didn't want to be that guy.

Bad@$$. remind me never to sprint against you. You seem as though if anyone were within range you would have pulled an Ozzie and bit their head off. One bite.

Don't attack when ON the front. That's stupid. Just one of those Truisms... :-) Seriously, good call. Don't be the guy that attacks the feed zone. Ever. Maybe THAT is a truism. God I hate that word.

C'mon pcad. The drops are there to be used for those kinds of efforts/moves.

When did you get a scott?

That's not a 'move'. I was stretching my back and getting out of the saddle for a few seconds.

See the 1000+ post Addiction thread in the 41 for the sordid Scott details. Wanted to replace the high mileage Six13.
