All I really had to do was set a medium-high tempo to start the ride off and I never got too tired to pedal or anything. It was pretty easy, actually. The hardest part was the last 10 miles home into the headwind.
I did three loops of the Chippewa Creek race course. I really wish that it was a USAC race, it's mighty fine, but around the third time I was like "F this hill".

5/9-107 miles
5/10-107 miles
TOSRV was great. My favorite leg was between Chillicothe and Waverly, some nice little hills and gorgeous scenery. We had a headwind both days, but no rain and the temps were very pleasant in the 60's and 70's.

I was riding back to the South on the Valley Parkway from the Marina around 9:15/10:00. Did you see any Stark Velo Kits? I saw at least 5 or 6 Spin guys.

I didn't see a soul. No one. I even stayed in the park doing a few hill repeats up Hogs Back and never saw anyone.

5/10, 25 miles.
Had planned for 40, but started having left knee pain again.
Going to the doctor next Monday. I'm sure it's "just" tendinitis,
but it's really peeing me off. The weather is finally nice, and I'll
probably have sit on the sidelines for a month or so.

I "rode" a grand total of 1.65 miles today!
Took off on my Crack-n-Fail CAAD8 with Record, got down the road a ways, and the Record chain snapped. Tool kit is in the bag on the bike I keep at work. Walked back home in road shoes - until I couldn't take that any longer and took the shoes off. A fine, fine ride today. In my anger, I stripped the Cannondale and put it on eBay today.
Seriously.

5/11 - 36.4 miles
Started ride at the Gaylord Bldg. lot in Lockport. Went east to Messenger Marsh (Homer Trails) and plotted trails on my GPS. Then rode into Messenger Woods off Bruce Rd. on way back into Lockport. The water from the pump there is utterly horrible. I'll remember to take a 32-oz bottle along w/ my 2 bike bottles to make sure I have enough water next time. After my ice cream stop at the Cool Creations in Lockport, I headed home using the bike trail back to Joliet, Broadway St. and Ingalls Ave. Weather was mainly partly cloudy and near 60 today.
kdgrills, hope your left knee can hold out into the weekend so you can do the Ride the Rock ride on Saturday. Hope the WCFPD folks don't have to alter the ride a bit Saturday due to the constant big puddle on the RRGT just south of Theodore St.
