Last time I went it was about 50% bike vendors and 50% people selling used clothing, bootleg DVD's and incense.
Is that still the case?

I think you must of gone to the Manhattan one where i had to lease space from an existing flea market. Yeah, it wasn't a great mix - this one, in Park Slope, is exclusively bike stuff (and there's a greenmarket too, so you can pick up baked goods and vegetables).
Brooklyn Bike Jumble will be hosting a concours (bicycle show and competition) to present the title of ‘Best NYC Bike’.
The judges are
Lance Mercado of Squarebuilt (www.squarebuilt.com)
Steve Bilenky of Bilenky Cycle Works ( https://www.bilenky.com/Home.html)
Michael Haddad of Michael's Professional Bike Repair (www.mikebikerepair.com)
Jeremy Rauch of Pavé (https://www.pavepavepave.com/ ) and formerly of Tears for Gears (https://www.tearsforgears.com/) fame
The public is welcome to enter bikes in the competition. Bikes have to have been built in either New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania or have some sort of compelling story that inextricably ties the bike to New York City.
We did this the first year and the winner was this cherry Dick Power, built in Sunnyside, Queens in the fifties:
Vendor spaces available at: https://www.nybikejumble.com/p/brookl...ay-may-14.html

Dangit. the title of this thread is kind of deceptive. I wrote it down weeks ago on my calendar for May 31st. Just now my wife asked me why there would be a bike swap on a Tuesday. Ok, it's not 2009 anymore is it.
Well, next year.
Well, next year.

Note to harryO: "do not resuscitate" threads (known as "zombie threads here") to announce something; create a new thread instead. I did the same thing as sailorbenjamin, and assumed that the jumble was later in the month. But it saved me some money!
