If it got jammed while turning counterclockwise, try gripping the screw with a set of pliers and turning the Allen key clockwise a bit and pulling out.

Or just heat it up /the screw only/. I don't really see the reason why this thing can't be removed just with force...even brutal force if needed, and if you are really frustrated. Vise, heat...just don't use any hammer again lol
