Will Kloden have anything in the tank to recoup the time he lost to the Schlecks on stage 17?

-Menchov will have the best time at the first few checkpoints, but another spill (or two) will take him out of the top ten.

Coverage doesn't start until 8:30.
I think Lance will move up to a close 3rd. Wiggins vs Kloden will be a good fight. I don't think either of them will be at their best though because of the efforts the past three days.

Will Contador catch both Andy and Frank on the road? That would be something to see.

don't know if i'd bet your house on cancellara winning it. i don't recall him
winning any tt's in the last week of a grand tour. don't know how fresh he'll
be after hauling himself over the alps. were it the first week of the tour, i'd
definitely bet your house on him winning it.

Last year he was only beaten by Schumacher who was later busted for doping during the Tour, with a decent gap to the third place finisher if I remember correctly.
But to be honest, I'd rather wager your house than mine too, anything could happen.

oops, forgot that cancellara came in 2nd on last year's final tt on stage
20 tdf. also forgot that vandevelde put in a great performance as well.
this year's is a little shorter and less elevation gain.

yes, anything can happen. i'm not seeing how the race this year is so
boring to some. you can make a case for any one of 15 or so quality riders
winning the tt today. a couple will hold steady, a couple will drop out of
contention and a few may jump back into the top 5. ventoux will be
a blast. plenty of drama this year with the armstrong/contador/johan/kloden/
astana saga, cavendish vs. hushovd bitterness, columbia vs. garmin ditto,
disrespecting of sastre and the white jersey competition.

Unfortunately, the Schleck brothers are pure climbers. They are just awful at the time trials, especially against the top contenders of the Tour. I expect Armstrong to jump back up to 3rd, or even 2nd if Andy has a bad day. And it's entirely possible after both he and Frank really put themselves at the limit on yesterday's stage.
