It seems to be road tubeless' time to prove itself. I remember even 2-3 years ago, people here were scoffing at disc brakes and look at the racing and shop-sales scene now...hard to even find a high-end road bike with rim brakes anymore. I'm only running my front tubeless but when the Zipp 303s come in, I'll be all tubeless. I only run the front right now since it was pretty hard to get the tire on by hand. I did but it will SUCK to put a tube in there if ever needed. Still, I like the safety factor of at least having the front tubeless. A flat coming down a mountain pass at 50 MPH sounds awful so I have a better safety margin with tubeless....a few more seconds to react. I'll look for some tires easier to mount and do both when my 303 Firecrests come in this summer.

Sorry for the semi-necropost, but my LBS is having a sale:
I had to really dig around to discover the fatal flaw -- if you want to run it tubeless. Still, for a lightweight wheel-set, it now seems like a tempting deal. The fact that it is Specialized puts me off more than the tubeless fiasco, but I guess in some sense they are inseparable aspects.
