I am the opposite - I'll have the feeling that I'm not going fast enough when I don't know how fast exactly I am going. Or if it feels fast enough, I'm curious to see if it really is faster than usual

That said, I've had good experience with wired Sigma units - had two older models, both outlived the bikes they were on. Currently have a wireless Force WLS 12 (Czech brand but I suspect a lot of their products are rebranded generic Chinese stuff as I have seen identical or very similar products online under various other names; this one looks very similar to the InBike unit mentioned above), bought for 17 euros, although it seems to have died just a few days ago - changing batteries and readjusting the distances didn't help, seems to get no signal from the sensor. It worked for 2 years, didn't interfere with lights, although some other outside interference like electric city transport did affect it. Other than that it worked fine.

Any preferences for the CatEye Velo 7 (Velo 9 not in stock at the place I'm looking to make an order) over Enduro, or vice versa? (The appeal of the Enduro is that it's supposed to be extra-rugged. I am a klutz, hence the appeal of that feature. But at this source it's $32.97 vs $27.49, so wondering if it's worth the extra five bucks. I pretty much only want a computer to use as a speedometer for the sake of basic curiosity as to how fast I ride, so it's not worth spending a ton.)

I concur with the above reply 👍. The OP did add "wireless" to his needs BUT they are not without issues. If two bikes are involved, unless the wheel sets are the same and have the same tires, moving the computer from one bike to the other will be a PITA! I don't imagine most inexpensive computers come with an extra mounting "shoe" and that would add to the PITAidness of swapping from bike to bike. As recommended above, two inexpensive wired units would be a reasonable suggestion. I have several wired units that have worked welll for many years.
Since most individuals have mobile phones, it's always a good idea to take it along on any ride! I use "Map My Ride" and am fine with it. The "free" version is somewhat limited but does what I need. I considered "Strava" but it seemed a bit much (function wise) for my style of riding. I do like to "cross-check" the mileage between the two at the end of my rides. If there's a considerable discrepancy, I'm guessing that my wheel circumference calibration is the culprit and I tweak it some. If they're close, I just leave it.
