I love riding in the snow. It makes it fun to mess around on the slick streets, and dream about the sitdown skids that I can't do when the roads are clear. I also like to try ridiculous things that I could never do, like 180 skids, which always result in my falling, but laughing hysterically. I will probably ride later tonight, and if I can get my camera working, I'll post pictures.

On a related note: a cop stopped to talk to me the other day while I was locking up, and he's like: "I've seen how you ride, it's dangerous on this ice"
I said: "Maybe if I were in a car, it would be."

One thing I'm missing is snow pics on my bike, I really ought to get my helmet cam. going while it's still around.
Other than Jan 1-8 (flu rolled into strepthroat yay) and one Friday I couldn't get my roadbike through the snow properly and had no other bike working, I've ridden each and every day through whatever has been thrown at us - and to be fair, winter has been a bit rougher so far this year than I recall in my last few years being in Toronto. All lots of fun, only the icepack under the fresh snow is a problem, otherwise it's been manageable. Thanks to my beater FG that I've been more comfortable in some of the cruddier conditions.

nice, glad to see another ice addict. I am actually top-roping this one with a double rope tied together for a 190' 8 mil slingshot (our balls weren't big enough for the lead that day).
Nightfall WI3+ (2 pitch) Devil Track River, North Shore of Lake Superior, MN
Went for a ride today across the bay, did a hour and a half ride in 20 minutes by cutting across the bay from MN to WI. The icefishin' men and women thought I was nuts to be riding out there.
On the ride home, I stopped on the Lake Superior side of Park Point.

700x35 studded wheels make snow not so much of an issue.
Edit: No, you can not fit those tires on a Mark V. It is a black Jamie Roy. I didnt know until I posted this picture that they are rare.
