I bought some R.1's in the end and after 2 rides now I seem very happy with them.
They roll very fast and don't have that soggy feel like my cheapo ones.
Probably won't last as long as the Rubinos,but rather that than slip off with those lethal things

Specialized tires have been very good to me. The new turbos are pretty good. I also prefer the grips over the races in the Micheline lineup. Used rubinos for a long time and liked them as well.
Tires be tires i reckon.

I train on GP4000's and race Diamante's and Open Corsas (which ever I can get for a good price). I'm a fairly light rider, but find GP4000's very flat resistant.
And don't mention Armadillo's...life's too short to ride crap tires!
