88 Schwinn Prelude, possibly 87. I have since sold it for $250, and had people clamoring to come grab it. Who'duh thunk it, hehe.

Early 80's Nishiki Century, converted to a fast city bike with thumb shifting 600EX. This bike rocked, and I wish I still had it. Sold to a bikeforums member, so it went to a good home.

Nishiki Citisport, of the same vintage (and color type) as the Century. I SO wish this bike was my size, I would still have it. Also sold....

Open Road mixte... Deore DX 18 speed with bar ends, fenders, Blackburn silver rack, smoked Araya's, Italian bars and stem. Already sold, delivering it halfway to a happy
customer on Saturday. With the seat raised all the way I can almost comfortably ride it. It's super smooth, and shifts like my Tiagra SS.

And last but not least, my lavender/pink Raleigh Technium 440.... Rides as nice as it looks.

My seatpost was also unmarked except for Italy, 27.2 and maximun. I beleive my seatpost is a "3ttt RSR" though because that what the catalog states though I'm not positive what year the catalog is from.

Thanks for dating this bike. That's pretty cool info. Any idea if the serial number has any secret meaning?

15mm wrench for removing the wheels, my friend! Kinda nice having a full size wrench for the leverage and not having to stuff it ina pocket

Nein, aber noch ausgezeichnet! It looks a little closer to red and the handlebar tape is in between red and salmon. But, no worries, you can post any of your bikes in any thread of your choice as far as I am concerned. Also, we will be vacationing/visiting my wife's family in Trauenwalchen this summer. If you might recommend any vintage oriented shops in Munich or the surrounding "Vor Alpen Gebiet" I would be indebted!

Paying it forward:

Free (to a good home) for the cost of postage. I have a bit of Weinmann pinkish, lined and wound cable housing. Should be a perfect match for some of the metallic, pearl rose bikes I've seen here such as northbend's gorgeous fixed gear, or badmother's 9-12. I have enough to do at least two friction shifting bikes with non aero levers.

PM me if interested and in about a week, I'll pull two names at random to send the stuff to. I will cross post in the PIF thread to give anyone else a chance to get in on this. I can think of a few other BF members whose bikes qualify, but haven't posted here yet.

Kind of a dark pink/magenta/almost-purple but I think it keeps in line with the tread...

Now THIS is a pink bike:

Almost florescent pink. And it appears to have faded some, so in 1991 it would have even been brighter.

I really wish I could have added it to this listing, but I never took a picture. I had an 80s Pinarello Trevisio in the brightest flourescent pink. I rode it for a couple of years and traded the frame for a new set of NR LED lights when I moved west. I'm sure it's been fixie-ized by now.

I love the color of this bike.
Sadly, nobody in the DC area seems to feel the same way, as it was posted on CL three times with nary a nibble...

Not mine, but definitely one of the more popular bikes on the metric century ride this past Saturday. 1986 Univega Nuovo Sport - original owner also.

I have a pair of matching road & mtb bikes with the same obnoxious paint scheme. I didn't choose the paint colors, so don't worry about offending me.

(Edit: This bike has since been restored, see post #126.)
