Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Agreed on the wheels being a bit out of place, but hey--it's not my bike.

(Some black Fulcrum 1's would have been sweet)

Anyone who says such a thing about a $2K groupset had better be a world-class pro rider who weighs 139 lbs with 0% body fat.

Like you'd know the difference blindfolded.

Try this for the tape https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...jsp?spid=47334 and this for the bike https://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/...45881&eid=4350
Seems like they may not have the exact color of tape but I am certain your LBS will be happy to get some.

Different wheels, obviously.

So only word-class pro riders are allowed to have nice stuff? And 0% body fat is impossible, but plenty of us are not lard-balls.

Actually, you can feel the difference between Red and the other SRAM groups because of the zero loss feature.

i dont care what it says on the side of a wheel. my nicest set of wheels are the race x lites- which are also new, have dt swiss 240 hubs and are pretty darn light, so i'm using those. The ksyrium elites that came with this bike are going on the cross bike.

mitch, this bikes mission is to seek and destroy. should be used to its full potential next year.

Like you'd know the difference blindfolded.
If you're talking about all $2K groupsets, i.e. SRAM, Shimano, and Campy, then yes, you CAN tell the difference blindfolded, and quite easily.

I'm just laughing at all the views this threat has attracted because of the similarity in title to the recent and controversial "Hottest" thread.

Psych!

needs red cranks, and the bar tape seems like a lot of effort was made to make everything super matchy but just missed the mark

sweet bike though, I think this is one that will look better covered with road grime and brake dust

Nice to see Specialized chilled out with the self branding a bit. My 2009 SL is more obnoxious then most Cannondales. With bottles cages and a Toupe, it says "Specialized" about 12 times on each side of the bike.

"Hot" implies some sort of sexuality which is offensive to many of the distaff readers. It creates a hostile atmosphere that is off-putting to all the women out there. We really need to clean up our language around here.

That bike is febrile.
