I've been wearing a close-cropped beard since my mid thirties. I went "Stanley Tucci" bald around 40. One day I shaved off my beard just to see what I looked like without it. My wife took one look at me and said:
"Too much white meat...grow your face back."
We still laugh about it.

I think gravel grinders are more the chewy craft brew crowd. Where roadies are for Michelob Ultra, and mountain bikers are knocking back Redbull and vodkas.
The best thing to do with kombucha is to pour it on the ground, and check it's evaporation rate.

I ride paved roads by necessity, gravel when I have the opportunity. I drink wine for recreation, whiskey when I get serious. Tea is for lightweights. We need no dilettantes. Pedal hard or stay home. If you put sugar or cream in your coffee, I don't want to talk to you.

There was a time when I created an online poll and basically proved that all white guys with dreads drank Mate. I don't think the topic at hand is quite so clear.
FWIW, flannel has long been replaced with a different outdoorsy uniform. This is Carhartt pants or even better, the patagonia version. A slim cut down jacket and maybe a vest. A trucker hat with North Face/Black Diamond/Patagonia/PBR on it. A Toyota pickup truck or Subaru, though the Sprinter can is catching up. And a dog.
As for the OP. I prefer gravel most days and I sometimes brew my own Kombucha. No beard though, it itches and interferes with my n95.

I am fond of the 1970's, and beards and red plaid were ordinary things back then.
I get it, fashion is a medium of communication. We have to careful that we don't send the wrong message if we want to be careful.
Alright, no one has mentioned so far that beards are functional when riding bikes because they do actually give feedback on velocity and protect the face from UV exposure.
Long beards are dangerous around machinery.
Beards compromise the effectiveness of the masks we now have to wear.
It is for those last two reasons I will sadly shave mine off on New Years day.
I haven't drank Kombucha tea yet, but thanks for the reminder, I will probably like it.
