I've been on a plateau for 6 months (actually have gained 4 or 5 pounds, but I think it's mostly muscle). I'd like to get the scale moving downwards again. 6'2", 200, down from 260-265. I'd like to eventually see 175, but for now 194, which puts me at normal by bmi, probably for the first time since 3rd grade. So, 6 pounds for July.
100 mtb miles, 200 road miles.

I'm in 235 today, going to be 225 by the end of the month.
Is someone tracking this in a table somehow?

JULY 1ST, 230.6lbs
My hospital visit added 9lbs to my weight. I'm still pretty swollen and probably retaining a lot of water. My goal for July is 12lbs, but I'm not sure from where the starting point will be. I'm going to wait a week (I can't exercise or really do much for the next week anyway) and re-assess.

July 1 Starting
Weight: 227
I track my Weeks Monday - Sunday.
Benchmark: 78.4 miles last week. See if I can get 80 this week.
Next week, I'm on "vacation". No much time to ride, if at all.

4.5 weeks 2# a week they say is good. So 9#s for me.
I am going to get back on Myfitnesspal again for diet.
I would suggest for those who are still building muscle to not worry about diet. It is very difficult to build muscle and starve. I tried this last year and got to a point where I wasn't losing weight and couldn't add miles.

194 starting weight. I'm going to weigh in every Thursday, frequency greater than this just makes my head spin I'm shooting for 500 miles of riding and ~25 miles of running in July.

Starting at 258, this morning I'm in for 10 pounds and 400 miles. I don't know if this ten pounds will be harder to lose than the last one or not, I know from experience in the past I've already lost most of the "easy" weight.

I'm in. Weighed 227.9 today, looking to drop that to 220 by 1 Aug. Did 200 miles in June, so let's say 300 for July.

New guy here. Just got my bike today. Still need to weigh myself. Last time I stepped on a scale it was two months ago and I was around 384 and I'm 6'3". I'd like to shoot for at least a 100 miles for my first month.

199.6.
No riding today, my legs are shot from my first metric century Saturday and a 12 mile recovery ride on my mountain bike yesterday. Should be getting in a bunch of miles this weel, though.

ok first 10 miles for the month done, we averaged 11.5 mph but that was really good for us as we were on some inclines, we usually do about 9 to 10 mph on average. As new riders and being I will be on a week long business trip, 250 will be a tough goal, but I will be pushing it.

I'm in. In down 67lbs overall, 52lbs this year. Given my schedule I am going to have to make my goals moderate with a weight loss of 2lbs a week.
7/1 - Weight = 232lbs
I need to bike consistently to get this done. But again with my schedule I think 250 miles is what I can do, anything else is just setting up for failure.

I had forgotten to post my month of July starting weight when I weighed in this past Saturday. IT looks like I am the "big boy" in the group but that is ok. I will evenually get down to you skinny guys! LOL
My starting weight for the month is 466.5 and by the end of the month I will be down to at least 453.0

Forgot to post my stats for the first few days. The first was my off day of cycling, so 0 miles there, and yesterday ended 6 miles out from home in a flat. No gear with me to change it meant walking/waiting for a ride home. Walked 2 miles to the rendezvous spot instead of walking the full 6 back. Starting weight is 253.

down a pound as of this morning prior to our longest ride to date we did 26 miles, right at 2 hours, I was very happy with that, I feel much stronger on the bike for sure.
