looks like an ice cream creation from Fenton's

pistachio & strawberry

needs colour coordinated bottle, pump & saddle

cable casing not working, wager Ame made some hoods which would fit in with this colour scheme...

an OFMEGA gear ensemble in pink would fit right in:

extra bonus points for replication of the Rizzato vee on the taper tubes

And what's special about this One-Shot paint?

I'm no paint expert but it appears to be a traditional oil based enamel similar to what might have been used on these bikes 50 years ago. The attraction for me is that I can buy it in small quantities and mix it myself to create the colors I want. It is popular among the sign painters and has a good reputation for resisting sun fade.

I also had some house numbers to paint so I mixed a different color for those.

I’m not an expert in European history of mechanics, but I have learned that Italy adopted the metric system more slowly than France did. France had to rebuild after World War II, and Italy couldn’t afford to do so fully. Thread pitches are harder to switch to metric (SI) than diameters, so Italian bottom bracket threading is specified as 36 x 24 tpi. That’s a 36 mm shell with threads at 24 per inch.

I’m not surprised to see Italian frames made of Reynolds. There were many. I don’t know if I ever heard of a production frame that used tubes from two manufacturers.

Didn't a few mix Columbus and Falck? I am not even 50% sure, but someone else will likely know.

But the Columbus-Reynolds combo is probably super rare!

Great thread with some very useful info: 4 example did not know 1-Shot had an online mix calculator indexed to PMS colors!
Or that a Subaru can be used as a baking oven!

great info here, thanks obrentharris and juvela !

Also MANY Italian frames mixed Columbus main tubes with Falck stays/blades etc., some were even honest enough to mention that fact!

That is our home but not our equine paddock beyond. The equines belong to our neighbors. We get the pleasure of watching the four legged ones but none of the expense and responsibility of owning them. Beyond the paddock, not visible in the photo, is a meadery. Again we enjoy the fruits of their labor but have none of the apian responsibilities. Our only livestock are small herds of gophers and voles!

Friends and relatives, however, have occasionally insinuated that the bicycles are breeding in our garage.

I've been working on it slowly. I agree with most of your assessments.
The cable housing had to go: The color was too close yet too far. Not finding any housing that was a close enough match for either color I chose the Nissen grey housing which imitates the texture of older Italian housing.
I mocked up the pump in both the pink and the green but didn't like either. Dare I say a little too much of a good thing? My old Ideor gray Silca pump matches the cable housing nicely and provides a little bit of calm.
For the same reasons, lack of a good color match and a little too wild, I kept the Leather saddle.
No Ofmega pink derailleur, but took a bit of your suggestion and added some green to an old Shimano XT derailleur I had sitting in the parts box.
I put on the tubular wheel set from my retired cyclocross race bike both for the ride and for the look. I'm putting quite a few miles on this bike and getting a lot of comments, all of them polite so far.
