Not very good sportsmanship on his part. He should have finished, then made his point.

Thanks Tom B. for this interesting summary report.
I do think these people are nuts.

Jure was given two 30 minute penalties (one before the race even started!) which were debatable. Dani Wyss reportedly broke many rules (including not stopping at the Mt Airy time station which required a mandatory check-in - I was there and saw him ride by it), but Dani was assessed no penalties!

I wish that Jure had not stopped at Mt Airy and rode to the finish to battle it out with Dani who was only a few minutes behind him. The closest and potentially most exciting solo male RAAM competition ever should have been decided on the road. You shouldn't take away the title from a four time champion like Jure with Mickey Mouse penalties while assessing him competition zero penalties. I don't blame him for not finishing to protest how he was treated by RAAM officials.

Congratulation on a great ride. I got the DVD, but I wish it were longer and showed more old timers. I looked at your pictures up to page 31, but I'll have to go over the rest later. What's your name in the race. Thanks.

Looks like you had a pretty rough ride. For that matter, watching the movie, I think everybody had a rough time. Great going though, I have to hand it to you riders, for taking on a challenge like that.
