Inspired by this thread, I've now put together a "Cream Tires Directory" on Lovely Bicycle.
Please feel free to chime in if you don't see a tire that should be there.
Veloria, I see you haven't signed up for our North Shore ride on the 23rd. I was hoping you'd join us!

^ Holy Raleigh Sports, Batman! That is a near-twin of ours, and just a few blocks away, it looks like. PM'ing.

Here's my white-tired baby: a '69 Raleigh Sports. Those are Schwalbes, thanks to Veloria, of course. In fact, the whole reason I own a Sports at all is Veloria. I <heart> her, too!

I'm so inspired. Now i just need some cash!

This one struck me as odd......fork is bent right? Why such effort and not straighten it up?

Thanks! I made someone very happy with it a few months after I fixed it up. There's always someone who needs a cute bike like that.

Eileen - That's a fantastic bike! I have test ridden the Retrovelo Paula and loved it.
I also really like this shade of red (not all reds are equal!).
Congratulations!

Thank you, Veloria! But... it's orange.

I'll be sure to review it when it arrives. There are not many reviews of it online, and I'm buying sight unseen. I've wasted money buying bicycles that were *sort of* or *almost* what I wanted. The only thing the Paula is lacking is a skirt/coat guard. I can crochet, so that is not a big deal.

Ah! But a red-orange, no?

I was also surprised by the dearth of reviews - I wasn't able to find almost any really except mine. But I do know several very satisfied owners and I don't know of any unsatisfied owners, so the statistics are in favour of you loving it : )

There are shadows on the bicycle in the picture. Soraya called it "earthy orange" but yes, I'd say red-orange is a good description. I love fat tires, and I really wanted those Fat Franks. Someone in another thread said "You get two free with a Retrovelo." Who can pass up a deal like that? FREE cream Fat Franks!

On this topic, I think my Panasonic would look really, really hot with white tires. The 22 year-old Pasellas that are on there will eventually need to be replaced. I want road tires that are 23-25s, with some flat protection, that aren't pieces o' junk. I got some recs when I first bought the bike, but also some warnings about the same tires that were just rec'd, or folks were suggesting tires they'd never actually ridden. Anyone actually ridden white road tires that they like? That have some tread and don't go flat if you look at them funny?

Edit: D'uh, re-read thread. Was remembering this whole thread as mostly 3-Speeds with Delta Cruisers and Fat Franks. Forgot first page was road bikes. Nevermind.

Okay, re-read. The Pasellas are twice the price of the Vittorias. Anyone use both and have a preference?
