Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just curious but what savings do you get vs your current setup? Is there a feel quality improvement with this setup?

52 CM D' Arienzo by Basso Columbus steel frame & fork. Fully chromed with Red Metallic paint. Has never been built.

Picture in this post, https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-Arienzo-Frame

Other frame sold on ebay this weekend.

Probably going to go with a Resto Mod Build. All Campy eventually. If anyone has stuff to let go, let me know. Interested in Athena or Chorus.

New guys in town who deal in all this fancy weight weenie stuff. After discounts though, the boutique stuff actually ends up being pretty reasonable compared to the mainstream stuff.

This combo weighs 183g, which is heavy, but it's a long Cervelo aero post. His round combos are usually between 115-135g. My current post is 156g, and my current saddle is 134g for a total of 290g. So it will save me about 107g, or just under 1/4lb. I am also told they ride really well with the flex on the sides. We shall see, it is going to ship out tomorrow.

Pearl Izumi outlet store in Barrington IL. The jersey itself is a "select" level jersey and the color is called "robot white". It is not yet on the Pearl website. Although, I did a search and found some on Amazon, Evil-bay, etc. Seems they made matching socks and arm warmers too. Have not seen shorts/bibs yet.

Here is the back-

Can you adjust the angle or fore/aft at all with an integrated setup like that? or was that part of the process of having it made? Pretty cool though, where did you have it done (I probably missed that post)?

Nothing is adjustable at all. I took exact measurements of my current perfect fit fore/aft, and angle, and sent them to Jure Berk from Slovenia who performed the magic. He's a 19yr old kid who races bikes, and builds custom handmade carbon fiber bike parts in his spare time. Check him out here:

You'll love the Padrone. I just picked one up in black and it's now my favorite jersey.

I recently bought some LG Neo Power bibs after I literally wore a hole through my favorite pair of Craft bibs mid-ride. I heard my friend behind me laughing hysterically and when I pulled over I had a 3 inch tear in the seam right in the center of my right ass cheek. I pulled the leg all the way up to get the tension off the fabric and rode 18 miles home. Also picked up a Giordana Silverline jersey.

I'm back after 5 months off due to a torn ligament in my ankle. I have nerve pain in the outside of my right foot so my narrow Sidis aren't treating me well anymore. I picked up a pair of Specialized Expert shoes that are much more comfortable for me now.

After buying all these things I needed I felt the need to splurge. I found some Oakley Split Jacket sunglasses with the clear/black photochromic lenses on sale so I picked them up. I'm looking forward to trying them as most of my rides start with sun and end in the dark.

Aaaaaannnnnnd I'm cut off for the month.
