Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Got a stand to keep it safe from being tipped over, and keeps it stable when I am cleaning it down.

How about a 2TB External HDD?
My Dish Network DVR's internal HDD is nearly full and with the Dauphine ongoing and three big tours looming, I transferred a bunch of recordings over to the external HDD to make room for the new stuff. I like to watch the footage while I am spinning on my trainer in the dead of winter or on days with nasty weather.
I'm pretty certain this qualifies as a cycling related purchase, no?

So far so good. The ride is great (partially due to vitttoria Corsas CX tires). I have had the 38mm clinchers for over a year and they are the wheels I ride 95% of the time.

Got a CAAD10 5 back in January, and been riding it quite a bit since then. Should I stick with the stock wheels or get a set of Boyd Vitesses? I should probably e-mail the company about logistics; I don't wanna wait until next Spring when I'm actually in race shape to find out that their next shipment won't arrive until after Spring or something.

I can even save you from sending that email! The rims just showed up yesterday and we are spending the first week with all of our builders working on just the Vitesse. We are hoping to catch up on orders and then have them built up and in stock. Within 10 days it's our goal to have the Vitesse able to be shipped within a day of ordering.

I suppose. I bought an internal 2TB HDD a long time ago but not for cycling. It turns out much of the space being occupied is recordings of my bike rides.

Salt Stick and Endurolytes, to compare the effects. Given the non-scientific nature of the testing, I predict that both will work for me just fine so I should just buy the one that's easier to find.

LIzard Skinz bar tape. A little pricey, but the best bar tape I've ever used. Love it.

This Specialized Pro Floor Pump. Although I have a TREK Madone, the LBS assured me this would work on TREK or Specialized bikes (they sell both).

Why wouldn't a presta pump work on any presta valve?
