Jamis Boss

Had this for a number of years and have decided to sell it (hopefully at Trexlertown or before) so I took a few pics.

Amazing original condition for a 1980 including Sand Jam tires, 2 way pedals, and Cheeks saddle. Check out the tire tred...perfect beach/boardwalk cruiser.

I went ahead a started a thread for My Alloy Electra 5i 29+ Speedster Cruiser in the Electric Bike section since I will be adding a mid-drive at some point. I will outline the complete build there. Cables are routed just like on the Lux D7's except this 3spd cruiser didn't have the rear brake frame cable mounts. I used black zip-ties.

Lean and clean It shall stay, Took off all the stickers, may leave just the fork stickers, not sure.
Waxing the whole bike soon...
Was $99, but Missing the chain guard and a nasty scratch on the back fender so $79
Aluminum Frame and stem.
Used my extra Bonty seat post, was just under 32 pounds home from the store.
Now Is right at 30 with much lighter pedals,
lighter seat post and seat clamp, stripped of fenders and the plastic junk.
30 pounds Includes the kick stand, It stays on.

My Mango Cruiser. Paid $10 for it off a Facebook garage sale group. I just had to air up the tires and make some adjustments.
This is phase 2, with the seat changed out and a rear cargo rack. Thought about putting on a Wald double basket but now I've settled on removing the rear cargo rack and adding a pizza rack to the front instead.
Phase 3 will be some hanger bars (I need something wider and figured I'd go taller at the same time) and the pizza rack.

Sweet bike. Looks like a relaxed ride, half lowrider or recumbent.

Honestly I'm a craigslist and Facebook marketplace fanatic and it took me awhile to find something perfect and most importantly, CHEAP. I did miss an opportunity due to timing on a $35 rusted cruiser from the 40s though.

An update to my Mango, with the ape hangers installed. Ape hangers required a new stem, so I got a double bolt steam. Still need to replace the cables, especially the front brake. Probably bring the bars back a few degrees once I do.
I also changed out the tires and put on a mirror, but still need to play with the placement of the mirror.
Front rack is supposed to be here tomorrow.

My wife got jealous of my cruiser, so I found this one for her. Already replaced the seat and changed out the stem so I could raise the bars some (she's a tall woman) but I think I'm going to switch it to the stem I just took off my Mango; just don't care for the look of this stem. A new basket - pink, of course - and a kickstand are on the way.
