Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The one piece spider rings - notonly light but they look so cool - not to mention you can swap ring sets between compact and standard. It will finish my SuperSix nicely. Will post pictures tomorrow after installation is complete.

According to the oh-so-accurate bathroom scale method, it weighs 3.6 pounds with frame, fork, headset, seatpost clamp and bottle cage bolts. I could probably get it below 3 by removing all the decals.

I'm still trying to decide what groupset to go with. Most likely it will be Ultegra. I tried to talk myself into Campy, but I didn't have the budget for anything more than Centaur and all my other bikes are Shimano.
Ha! I know what you mean there is a lot of branding on these frames! My size small came in at 1086g for frame including bolts and 413 for fork. I also weighed the expansion bolt for the steerer which was really high at 69g. There's a cheap replacement if you care about these things from cannondale at 12g.

if nothing else it's fun to build and research your spec bike

I'm putting a triple on it, so there's probably not much point in saving 57g on the expansion bolt. I might eventually do it anyway.

It's definitely been fun deciding what parts I want to build it with.

SRAM mount for Garmin Edge

Finally arrived in the mail today. Definitely felt the aero advantage on the trainer.
I think it looks very clean.

I picked up some Boyd's 58mm carbon clinchers. UPS delivers them today. Very fast turnaround time. I will post pics/review when the weather warms up.

NiteRider Lumina 650. Tried it out this morning, on strobe, in dense fog. I'm impressed.

Looks good. It was rather foggy this AM, I bet it was really socked in on the point.

More parts trickling in for my build...

I'm still waiting for the bottom bracket and front derailleur, hopefully arriving later today.

So, I was going to be done, but then I saw this on craigslist...

...and I figured "Why build one, when you can have two for twice the cost?" Of course, in reality, all the parts for the LHT are going to come off of another bike.
