I've got 2 or 3 OEM bars but unfortunately they're 39 and 40.
Like you, I prefer the 42 or even 44 width bars. I feel more stable and seem to breathe easier with wider bars.

26.4 mm is the "other" Cinelli standard, had these on my Master as it forced buyers into buying the bar and stem together.

yeah it’s gonna be sick for sure although while it does / will fit I am on the hunt for a size down cause then I can get everything perfect. But even being a size bigger than I prefer I can’t deny how well this bike rides . With that being said who has one of these with a 57 top tube and 58 seat tube .

Just call me Carrie
Now that tax season is over, I have time...
I’m considering a stem swap on three bikes but I’d like to figure out if they’ll work before I break everything down.
Donors: ‘85 Shogun 200 and ‘89 Ironman.
Recipients: ‘89 Ironman and 90s Giant Sedona.
The Sedona’s stem is unmanageably long. My husband wiped out because he was trying to unzip his jacket and couldn’t handle the bike one-handed. So I was going to steal the stem from the Ironman for that. Then I’d put the stem from the Shogun on the Ironman.
Both donor bikes have curled bars, the Giant has flat bars. Does any of that matter? Is this three way swap going to work? The Shogun stem is stamped with “SR” and the Ironman stem is Nitto.
The end result would reduce the IM stem length by 1.5”, the Giant by 3”, and the Shogun by a stem.

Measure the bar clamp sizes...they are not universal.

^^^^^ +1; if they're still open, get one of those cheapo digital calipers from Harbor Freight. You have enough bikes/parts, and do enough DIY/swapping, to warrant it.

Cheapos' can be a problem , it's the ears that measure the inside diameter . I have two sets and the ears are off by about 1/32 . You might luck out and get a set that are good , easy way to check , get hold of another set and measure the jaws .

OK. Bikes. 1.5" reduction in the IM is approved . I'm not concerned with the others. I have limited empathy in that regard, being Ironcentric. Also, experience tells me to get one dialed in, then go from there.

My first guess is that the levers could go down a little on the bar, and the bar could angle downward just a wee bit. But wherever you put it, consider it a starting point. DON'T wrap the bar yet. Wear some decent gloves and ride it a while, and get some "bio-feedback" and adjust accordingly, before wrapping the bar.
